It happened when I took my first trip of acid which was probably the strongest acid I have ever had and at about 4 in the morning I began to sense the presence of the maker. He was very very close. Very vibratey and warm.

It wasn't really anything to do with religion. It was more like a life force not old men with beards. It was during the summer and I went for a wee wander and felt the same vibrations coming from the trees and from the air. It all seemed to make sense and I was part of it all.

The feeling seemed to be connected to my own pulse and heartbeat and the deeper I got into it the closer I seemed to get to this pulsating presence. The presence was full of vibrating light and I could see sounds and soundwaves. Every movement I made the more I connected with everything else. I was awestruck and breathless with anticipation. Then just when I thought I was getting close to the source it pulled away a bit. The experience lasted for a few hours longer but was never quite as strong. It might be the difference between holding on to reality or going insane.

I had the experience again on a number of occasions but maybe not as vivid. You don't need drugs to have the experience though. It can happen when you are meditating. It can happen anywhere wide open spaces are good but cities are fine too as long as there are trees growing or some connection to nature. Certain people can set it off as well.

I've often thought that I never really came down from the experience.
